If you need to cancel your trip, your AAdvantage® miles will be credited back to your account within 7-10 business days. Cruise line cancellation penalties may be assessed toward miles, a credit card or both.
If your reservation was paid using cash + miles, the miles used at time of purchase will be applied first to cover the cost of any penalties, followed by a cash payment for any amount due that exceeds the miles payment.
