Despite what many believe, drinks packages are not just for those who drink alcohol. If you fancy sodas, special coffees and teas or anything other than basic tea, lemonade and water, then you may want to buy a drink package.
What is already included in the cruise fare:
- water (not bottled water)
- fruit juice at breakfast
Why cruisers buy a non-alcoholic beverage package:
- So you will know your bill ahead of time with no surprises from a-la-carte beverages
- Because you like sodas, specialty coffee, and bottled water
- So you will have a variety of options to drink each day
- You would have the convenience of ordering quickly without having to pay each time
- You can experiment with new drink options and try something new, like all of the fun mocktails offered on cruises
Most cruise lines offer a few different varieties of drink packages that include both alcoholic and non-alcoholic items. Starting with the classic soda package which is usually comprised with Coca-Cola® or Pepsi® products and many cruise lines include mocktails (fruity drinks without alcohol) in this package.
